first ff song of the night. Background...Trouble Funk is a legendary go-go, funk band that has been in DC since the 70's. When Dave Grohl was a teenager, living in Northern Virginia, Trouble Funk's band leader Tony would have Dave's band open for Trouble Funk. Big Tony planned a birthday show for himself at the 9:30 Club on May 5, and it developed into a birthday bash hosted by Dave Grohl, with performances by Bad Brains (w/Grohl on drums), Trouble Funk, and finally the Foo Fighters. The club owner even sang happy bday to Tony and played drums for one song with Trouble Funk. It was truly one of the most memorable nights ever! FF played for almost 2 1/2 hours. It was really cool to see such a fantastic major band in a small club. :-D
