Wednesday April 3^rd, 2013 will mark the 29^th Annual Marvin Gaye Day Celebration, an event that has become synonymous with Washington DC’s love for a treasured icon of music. This year’s event will take place at the fabulously restored historic Howard Theatre and, as it has always been, is sponsored by the African American Music Association. The evening’s performances will be highlighted by a special appearance by the legendary Fathers Children and will close with another DC institution; hand dancing, coordinated by the National Hand Dance Association.
