In case my readers didn’t know, the 55th annual Grammy’s are coming up this Sunday, February 10, 2013. As the date approaches, many of the talent as well as producers are preparing their Sunday’s best for the red carpet.
I have a special treat for my readers this week. I call it #FashionFridays , Grammy Edition.
On October 11, 2011 hit song “Lotus Flower Bomb” was released by the Metropolitan Area’s ( Which can also be referred to as the “DMV” ) own, Wale featuring R&B artist Miguel. This song hit the air and landed right into the hearts of a lot of ladies. When there is a song released that touches ladies, it’s almost a guaranteed hit. “Lotus Flower Bomb” is now nominated in the Best Rap Song category for this years show.

Although the final product is very important, it is the process it takes to write, master and produce that makes the song.

What was it like to hear “Lotus Flower Bomb” on the radio for the 1st time?
I felt relieved when I first heard it on the radio! Hard work paying off for me. My confidence boosted as well lol.
How long did it take for you to produce the mastered copy of the song?
It took a while because I couldn't get the hi hats like I wanted them. Actually took me a month just to finalize the beat. Worth the time though.
Who are some of the artist you have worked with outside of Wale and Miguel?
Plies, Kevin McCall, Chris Brown, J Doe and tons others!
For #FashionFridays sake and considering the red carpet is a huge part of the Grammys , what was your process in order to prepare fashion wise?
The hardest part was picking the color of my suit. Once I found the color (black) I didn't like it, so I found another (not saying lol) and actually just now putting everything together and getting it tailored. My mother helped out with the process. (Thanks mom)
What can we expect from you music wise in 2013?
I signed a artist by the name of "Dallas Blocker" and we just dropped his first song "Elevator" written and co produced by me. We are in the process of talking with a few labels for a home team. When you hear "Jerrin Howard" "ROCSTEADY BABY" on the radio, know that it's Mr. Flower Bomb : )
