This past week has been full of several events that allowed me to show off my personal style. Per last weeks #FashionFridays , we are all aware that I had the opportunity to attend the HOPE Youth Inaugural ball. In addition to the ball, yours truly hosted a fashionable happy hour event at Fever Bar & Lounge. This piece allows a closer look at the face and style behind #FashionFridays a.k.a Moi !
In chronological order, the first event up was the HOPE Youth Inaugural ball.

The Code Blue: Reviving a Generation, The Teenage Homeless Campaign created by HBO's Jermaine Crawford was held on Sunday, January 20, 2013. As stated before in a previous #FashionFridays piece, the purpose of this event was to raise monies that will support Sasha Bruce Youthwork in their effort to open its first teenage only shelter in Prince Georges County, Maryland. This was one of the most positive events I've ever attended in our city. There were families that came from all over the United States to attend this prestigious event at the historic Howard Theatre. The event opened with pianist Ashley Sadler paying tribute to the U.S by playing "America The Beautiful" as well as Grammy nominated artist Luke James singing "The Star Spangled Banner".

Throughout the ball there were performances by Flow Wellness, DJ Joe, YMCMB's artist Torian Sellers and a special presentation by P.G. County Executive Rushern L. Baker III.

The audience came out in their Sunday's best and enjoyed the presentations as well as each other's company on the dance floor.
Special thanks again to Code Blue Campaign CEO, Jermaine Crawford for the invitation to this event!
Now, later in the week I hosted my own event. As my readers know, I co-host The Olivia Fox Show every Tuesday from 12pm-2pm on WLVS Radio.

To celebrate the new show, the cast decided to host our first happy hour at Fever Bar & Lounge in DC.

There were a lot of special guest in the house supporting the show! While listening to the old school hip hop tracks DJ Roz was spinning throughout the happy hour, there was a live book signing by best selling author Deshawn Taylor. Also in attendance, CEO & Co-Founder of The CG Communications Entertainment Public Relations and Graphic Design Company, Danielle Carter as well as DC's own comedian Eddie Bryant , and last but not least co-founder of #FashionFridays hosting site , Tom Sutfin of Onstage DC! A special thank you to the Johnson C. Smith University DC Alumni Chapter for coming out deep and supporting this happy hour! Everyone had a great time and there will be more to come!

There is a reason I decided to show off my own personal style in this weeks #FashionFridays. There is a contest coming up soon that my readers will be able to participate in and win some amazing prizes!
There is always a method to my madness... Stay tuned!
